Steven M. Spector is a Shareholder in the Firm’s Insolvency and Financial Solutions Practice Group, resident in Los Angeles. Mr. Spector’s practice focuses on the representation of debtors and creditors in reorganization proceedings and the representation of banks and financial institutions in bankruptcy and state court. He also represents lenders as well as buyers and sellers in transactional matters. In addition, Mr. Spector handles receiverships, provisional directorships and assignments for the benefit of creditors.
Mr. Spector is a member of the Los Angeles County, Beverly Hills and Century City Bar Associations as well as the California and Los Angeles Bankruptcy Forum, the Financial Lawyer Conference, the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Turnaround Managers Association and the Receiver’s Forum. He is also a lecturer at the University of California at Los Angeles and California Continuing Education of the Bar.
Mr. Spector has been selected as one of Southern California's Super Lawyers in 2009 and 2010 and was also selected as a Southern California Super Lawyer, Corporate Counsel Edition in 2009 and 2010.
Mr. Spector earned his J.D. at Loyola Law School in 1971 and his B.A. at the University of California at Los Angeles in 1968.
