Buchalter Nemer Adds a New Litigation Shareholder Print E-mail

George Stephan joins the firm's Los Angeles Office

January 16, 2008 Los Angeles - Buchalter Nemer welcomes George Stephan, a new Shareholder, to its Litigation Practice Group. Stephan, who specializes in business litigation and product liability, is recognized as one of California's foremost trial attorneys by his peers.

"We are happy to welcome George Stephan to our firm. He is widely recognized in his field, and his expertise in product liability and business litigation blends seamlessly with our existing litigation practice," said Rick Cohen, Buchalter Nemer President and CEO.

One of Stephan's most highly publicized cases includes City of Anaheim v. Angels Baseball (2006) in which he obtained a defense verdict in favor of the Angels in a suit seeking more than $370 million in damages.

"Adding a litigator with such a strong background to our Litigation Practice Group strengthens our overall practice and helps us serve our clients better and more efficiently," said Bernie LeSage, the firm's Litigation Practice Group Chair. "George Stephan is a welcome addition to our dynamic litigation group."

Stephan rejoins his former partners Harry Chamberlain and Robert Dato, and senior counsel Efrat Cogan, who brought their appellate practice to Buchalter Nemer in 2007.
