Connor Blair is a Senior Counsel in the Firm’s Nashville office and a member of the Litigation practice group. He has led teams defending and prosecuting matters of all sizes, successfully advancing his clients’ interests from the moment a dispute is on the horizon through the appellate process.
At the trial level, Connor litigates business and construction disputes that run the gamut of substantive issues: breach of contract, torts, non-compete clauses, intellectual property, vexatious litigants, and compliance with various state and federal laws. He has successfully disposed of several cases at the responsive pleading and summary judgment stages. He has also tried cases to verdict in both state and federal court and successfully briefed post-trial motions, obtaining a JNOV that set aside a $20 million plaintiffs’ verdict in Baltimore County Circuit Court.
At the appellate level, Connor has briefed cases before the Supreme Court of the United States, the United States Courts of Appeals for the First, Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Ninth, and Eleventh Circuits, as well as the Supreme Court of Tennessee and the Maryland Court of Special Appeals. He has also written and coordinated numerous amici briefs.
As part of maintaining a significant pro bono practice, Mr. Blair has helped dozens of men at the Helping Up Mission in downtown Baltimore handle any number of legal or administrative issues as they work to regain sobriety and find long-term employment. In recognition of his pro bono efforts, he was named to the 2020 Capital Pro Bono Honor Roll.
