David P. Resnick is a Shareholder in the Firm’s Chicago office and a member of the Real Estate and Real Estate Finance practice groups. Mr. Resnick maintains a national practice concentrated in commercial real estate development, leasing and finance matters. He has over 24 years of experience handling all facets of commercial real estate transactions, including the acquisition, sale, financing and leasing of industrial, office, residential, retail and mixed-use properties. Mr. Resnick also provides an array of dedicated legal services to hospitality clients with respect to their real estate, finance and operational matters.

In addition, Mr. Resnick negotiates construction, joint venture and divestiture agreements for real estate development and investment transactions. He represents banks and other financial institutions and private enterprises in the negotiation and documentation of mortgage, mezzanine, bridge, and structured debt.

Mr. Resnick counsels a diverse population of clients, from commercial property owners, tenants, developers and investors, to retailers, hospitality management firms, lenders and finance professionals. He is a trusted adviser with a mastery of his clients’ short- and long-term objectives in each transaction, be it a modest office lease or a complex construction financing. Mr. Resnick is committed to partnering with his clients and approaches each matter with creativity and passion.

Mr. Resnick earned his J.D. from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law. He earned his B.A. from the University of Michigan.
