Jacqueline James is an Of Counsel in the Firm’s Los Angeles office and a member of the Litigation practice group. Ms. James’ practice is focused on representing financial institutions, leasing companies, commercial landlords, and other business entities. Ms. James has extensive experience in business and commercial litigation, creditors’ rights, and bankruptcy.
With respect to litigation and creditors’ rights, Ms. James represents clients in connection with business-related disputes, collections, provisional remedies, receiverships, post-judgment enforcement, and appeals. Ms. James also has over 20 years of experience representing secured and unsecured creditors, including financial institutions, landlords, software companies, and entertainment-related businesses, in all chapters of bankruptcy, namely Chapter 11, Subchapter V, Chapter 7, Chapter 13, Chapter 12 (farm cases), Chapter 9 (municipal bankruptcy cases), and in Chapter 15’s (cross-border insolvency cases). She has represented clients in local and national bankruptcy cases throughout the United States and its territories.

Ms. James earned her J.D. from the University of Southern California, Gould School of Law. She earned her B.A. in International Business and minor in History from Loyola Marymount University.
