Jessica Patel is an Attorney in the Firm’s San Diego office and a member of the Labor and Employment practice group. She represents employers in disputes involving wage and hour, wrongful termination, retaliation, harassment, and discrimination claims. Her practice includes defending employers in California state courts and before state and federal agencies such as the California Civil Rights Department (CRD), the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement (DLSE), and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).
Ms. Patel also has experience litigating class actions and “Private Attorneys General Act” (PAGA) lawsuits that involve Labor Code and Wage Order violations, such as failure to provide meal and rest periods, unpaid overtime, failure to reimburse employees’ business expenses, and unfair business practices.
In addition to litigation, she advises clients on various employment-related issues and assists businesses with federal and California employment law compliance, including the development and implementation of employee policies and procedures.

Ms. Patel earned her J.D. from the California Western School of Law. She earned her B.A. in Education from Temple University.
