Co. Seeks 2nd Shot At Asbestos RICO Suit, Citing New Info

Alongside its motion, J-M Manufacturing filed a declaration by its counsel, Ashwin J. Ram, stating that, while in the interest of preserving attorney-client privilege, he would not "identify the specific whistleblowers by name or attribute information to any particular confidential whistleblower source," he had been approached by sources that shared information about the alleged scheme.
Two of the firms involved in the alleged enterprise "focus on mass advertising," which is funded by Simmons Hanly, and another firm, Ram alleged in his declaration. The advertising firms allegedly were found to be "funneling their referrals" to Simmons Hanly and the other firm "in exchange for a portion of case settlements," Ram stated.
