Former state Democratic Party Chair Gray Sasser has left his position as the first executive director of Vanderbilt University's Project on Unity and American Democracy to become of counsel to the new Nashville office of the Buchalter law firm. Sasser is the son of former U.S. Sen. Jim Sasser, D-Nashville.
