High Court Denies Ex-Union Prez’s Trusteeship Review Bid

“The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday dismissed a former union local president’s petition to review a Ninth Circuit ruling over his suit against the Amalgamated Transit Union, which imposed a trusteeship after it accused him of financial misconduct.”
“Local 1637, based in Las Vegas, was placed in a trusteeship after members of the local complained that Mendoza committed financial malfeasance under ATU bylaws. One member alleged Mendoza was overpaid while another claimed he wasn’t following the local’s bylaws for scheduling union leave, according to court documents.”
