Mary’s Place, a large provider of emergency shelter and related services for homeless single women and families in the Seattle area, recently acquired their first permanent home. Located in Burien, south of Seattle, the site was a former substance abuse treatment center. Starting this summer, and after appropriate renovations, the facility will house up to 200 mothers, fathers, and kids. Seattle shareholder Doug Prince, a long time Mary’s Place board member, performed a significant portion of the legal work for the transaction, all on a pro bono basis. Doug also volunteers at Mary’s Place shelters and events. For more information, click here.
