“Nothing in life is to be feared; it is only to be understood.”
Marie Curie, Nobel Prize winning physicist and chemist

The rapid spread of Covid-19 has significantly disrupted the global economy and had a major impact upon the lives and businesses of all of us. Federal and State governments have made extensive emergency responses, including the fact that on March 18, 2020, the U.S. Senate, by a vote of 90-8, approved the Families First Coronavirus Response Act, which was passed earlier in the week by the U.S. House of Representatives (HR 6201). This bill was signed into law by President Trump. However, this is not the only Federal or State response to Covid-19. Other related issues include the following:

  •  Federal and State Restrictions on Financial Service Companies, including foreclosures and evictions (Presented by Michael Flynn)
  • Business Interruption and related Insurance Policy Coverage Issues (Presented by Harry W. R. Chamberlain II and Susan White)
  • Impact of Covid-19 on Commercial and Residential Real Estate (Presented by Manuel Fishman and Alicia Guerra)
  • Contract related issues, including Act of God (Presented by Sarin Tavlian)
  • Employment and Labor issues (Presented by Robert Cooper)
  • Tax Relief stemming from Covid-19 (Presented by Christopher Luna)
