Intake & Conflicts Clerk

The Intake & Conflicts Clerk is responsible for supporting the Firm’s New Hire Conflicts team by reviewing candidate conflict questionnaires, conducting conflicts searches, and analyzing and filtering search results. The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player who operates with a sense of ownership and exercises sound judgment in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review candidate conflicts questionnaires and related materials to ensure completeness and compliance with Firm policies and ethical obligations.
  • Conduct new hire conflicts searches using Firm databases and established search protocols.
  • Employ Boolean logic in accordance with Firm policy to run conflicts searches.
  • Leverage internal and external information sources to filter hits resulting from conflicts searches.
  • Communicate with candidates, recruiters, attorneys, and administrative personnel regarding new hire conflicts inquiries and follow-up requests.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to candidate conflicts analysis.
  • Assist with other conflicts and onboarding-related projects, as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes

  • Strong analytical and communication skills both oral and written. Excellent organizational and planning skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects to meet deadlines.
  • Strong research skills demonstrated by ability to use legal and financial research systems.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with team members.
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to respond professionally to time-sensitive requests.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Flexibility to work additional hours as needed.

Education & Experience

  • Law firm experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with Intapp Open, 3E, iManage, and Intapp Walls preferred.

Pay Scale: The reasonably expected pay scale for this non-exempt (hourly) position is $50,000-$70,000.  This is an employer estimate and the salary offered within that range, and the potential for bonus and bonus amount, will depend on experience.
