Bill Smelko to Moderate September 2026 ACREL Panel on Bankruptcy and Receivership Issues

Partner Bill Smelko will moderate a panel presentation at the American College of Real Estate Lawyers (ACREL) for its Real Estate Litigation and Bankruptcy Committee on September 15, 2026.

The program, titled “When Receivers Become Trustees in Bankruptcy,” will explore the legal and practical implications that arise when a court-appointed receiver transitions into the role of a bankruptcy trustee, including the resulting considerations for creditors, debtors, and other stakeholders in distressed real estate matters.
