Partners Christopher Van Gundy and Anne Marie Ellis will present at the Practising Law Institute’s (PLI) program, “Chemicals of Concern in the Food and Beverage Industry and Emerging Regulatory Burden and Liability Risks.” This program is scheduled to air on October 14th, 2026.

This Studio Briefing will discuss emerging legislative and regulatory initiatives, as well as litigation trends challenging representations related to health, safety, and product composition, including false and misleading advertising claims. The program provides a practical overview of current regulatory liability risks and what these developments mean for companies operating in or marketing consumers in the United States. Faculty will also discuss the challenges in achieving regulatory compliance and defending these claims and the parallels to other industries.

This program is designed for in‑house and outside counsel advising food and beverage companies, attorneys handling California consumer protection and false advertising matters, regulatory and compliance lawyers, and practitioners monitoring emerging public health and product‑related liability trends.
