Alexandra Rason Coons is Special Counsel and a member of the Real Estate practice group in Buchalter’s Atlanta office. With over 25 years’ experience in commercial real estate industry, Ms. Coons’ practice includes the acquisition, disposition, financing, development and leasing of real estate assets, including retail, multi-family, office, industrial, and mixed-use developments. She represents both lenders and borrowers in connection with acquisition, construction and permanent loan financings and refinancings. She also represents developers of and investors in commercial properties of various sizes and institutional landlords in the negotiation of leases. Ms. Coons has represented lenders in the workouts and foreclosures of distressed commercial properties during economic down-turns.
Prior to joining Buchalter, Ms. Coons gained extensive commercial real estate experience serving in various roles at several prestigious Atlanta based law firms, as well as well-established in-house legal departments. Based on her years of experience, Ms. Coons strives to understand her clients’ business needs and their goals in a particular transaction, in order to provide practical counsel unique to each client. Being proactive and responsive to her clients and providing strategic counsel from the outset of contract negotiations, during due diligence and throughout the closing process and beyond are keys to Ms. Coons’ success as a trusted advisor to her clients.
