Eric Lyons is Senior Counsel in the Firm’s Nashville office and a member of the Litigation and Labor & Employment practice groups. Mr. Lyons has substantial experience representing clients in litigation and arbitrations across a broad range of industries and issues including disputes concerning the protection of trade secrets and intellectual property rights, restrictive covenant enforcement, corporate governance and fiduciary obligations, fraud, defamation, cybersecurity breaches, malicious prosecution, antitrust concerns, contractor classification, and a variety of labor and employment matters. 

Mr. Lyons also uses his litigation background to advise clients on compliance and risk mitigation to prevent and resolve disputes before they reach the courthouse steps. Mr. Lyons’ past clients range from local small business owners to national and international household names.

After graduating from Vanderbilt University Law School, Mr. Lyons clerked for the Honorable Judge Gilbert S. Merritt, Jr. United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. As a judicial term clerk, Mr. Lyons assisted Judge Merritt with research and drafting appellate opinions and bench memoranda in hotly contested business, civil, and criminal appeals.
