Konrad Kalpen is an Attorney in the Firm’s Seattle office and a member of the Labor and Employment practice group. Mr. Kalpen advises businesses on a broad range of corporate and employment matters, helping clients navigate workplace issues, manage risk, and make an impact in their industries. His background in law, public relations, and public policy allows him to approach legal challenges with a strategic perspective and an understanding of the broader business considerations facing his clients.

Mr. Kalpen’s practical approach to advising businesses and employers is rooted in firsthand business experience. Working alongside his father to help grow a small business into a multi-state enterprise spanning the retail, security, logistics and landscaping sectors provided an early understanding of operational and workforce challenges faced by growing organizations. That perspective continues to inform his counsel on corporate and employment matters. He has since provided corporate legal counsel for professional sports teams, national non-profits, and Fortune 500 companies.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Kalpen served as an intern at the International Criminal Court in the Hague, the Netherlands aiding in matters of internal and international policy.
