Matthew S. Covington is the San Francisco Chair of the Firm’s Litigation Practice Group and a member of the Energy & Natural Resources Practice Group. With over 32 years of experience, Mr. Covington routinely represents energy and petroleum companies in commercial litigation including court trials, jury trials and arbitrations.
Mr. Covington’s technical background is particularly useful in technically complex cases. He has represented clients in matters involving refinery operations, cogeneration plants, disputes with electric utilities, unmanned submarines, geotechnical investigations, and hydrostatic testing.
Mr. Covington has a strong track record of winning cases, either on motion practice or at trial.
