Sofia Torrez is an Attorney in the Firm’s San Diego office and a member of the Labor and Employment practice group. Ms. Torrez’s practice primarily focuses on general business litigation, public entity liability, and labor and employment law. Ms. Torrez represents businesses in single-plaintiff cases involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, whistleblower claims, and wage and hour issues. Ms. Torrez’s practice also involves advising and counseling clients on questions of labor and employment compliance with state and federal laws.

Ms. Torrez graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, and her Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law. While in law school, Ms. Torrez served as an executive leader for La Raza Law Students, First Generation Legal Professionals, and the Employment and Labor Law Society. Ms. Torrez was an associate member of the school’s Moot Court and served on the law school’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Student Advisory Group task force. Ms. Torrez also had an externship with the United States District Court for the Southern District of California in the Chambers of the Honorable Barbara L. Major.
