Michelle Lopez is a member of Buchalter’s Labor and Employment practice group in the Firm’s Los Angeles Office. Ms. Lopez represents employers in litigation involving claims of employment discrimination, wrongful termination, sexual harassment, and retaliation.  She also routinely represents clients in class action and representative PAGA cases involving wage-and-hour allegations, including failure to pay regular and overtime wages, meal period and rest break violations, misclassification issues, piece-rate pay agreements, and reimbursement claims.

Focusing her practice primarily on employment and consumer protection class actions, Ms. Lopez also has ample experience representing both employees and consumers.  Additionally, she previously interned in the Washington, D.C. office of Sanford Heisler Sharp, and for the Novo Nordisk pharmaceutical company in Princeton, New Jersey.

Ms. Lopez earned her J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law. During her time at San Francisco State University, she earned her B.S. in Political Science and served as a Legislative Intern for the United States Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi.
