Steven M. Spector’s practice focuses on receiverships and assignments for the benefits of creditors as well as other alternative methods of managing or liquidating businesses, he also represents debtors and creditors in reorganization proceedings and represents banks and financial institutions in bankruptcy and state court. Mr. Spector also represents lenders as well as buyers and sellers in transactional matters.

Mr. Spector is AV Preeminent rated by Martindale Hubbell and has been selected by Super Lawyer Magazine as one of Southern California’s Super Lawyers from 2009 to 2018. He was also selected as a Southern California Super Lawyer, Corporate Counsel Edition in 2009 and 2010; additionally recognized in the Best Lawyers in America, Bankruptcy and Creditor Debtor Rights / Insolvency and Reorganization Law, for 2023 – 2025.

Mr. Spector earned his J.D. at Loyola Law School in 1971 and his B.A. at the University of California, Los Angeles in 1968.
