Partner Elizabeth R. Glasgow will be a co-presenter at the Boston Estate Planning Council on February 4, 4:00pm-7:00pm. She will discuss the topic “From “I Do” to “Who Gets What?”: Marriage and Wealth Transfer Planning Unpacked.” The seminar will focus on how marital law shapes estate and wealth transfer planning including exploring the key differences between common law and community property jurisdictions, reviewing strategies for clients who relocate from one such jurisdiction to the other, and examining the effects of marital law on irrevocable trusts created during marriage by one or both spouses. Because tax implications can last forever – even if your client’s marriage doesn’t!  An opportunity to network with all speakers and attendees will immediately follow the seminar.
