Summer Geyer is an Attorney in the Firm’s Nashville office and a member of the Litigation practice group, focusing her practice on complex construction and real estate disputes. Summer represents a wide range of industry clients, including residential and commercial general contractors, subcontractors, developers, design professionals, and business and property owners.
Summer’s practice spans the full life cycle of construction matters. She advises clients from project inception through close‑out, offering guidance on contract drafting and negotiation, risk management, compliance with Tennessee construction standards, and issue‑spotting during active construction. She is well‑versed in AIA contract forms, building and property maintenance codes, lien and payment laws, and other key regulatory frameworks governing construction in Tennessee.
As a litigator, Summer has extensive experience handling disputes involving construction defects, delays, scope changes, payment issues, and zoning and land‑use matters. She has tried numerous general sessions and circuit court cases, and served as lead counsel in a three‑week AAA arbitration involving a complex, multi‑party construction dispute. Her litigation background also includes conducting and defending expert depositions, preparing and arguing dispositive motions, and performing detailed construction site inspections.
Summer is committed to clear, consistent communication and ensures that clients understand case strategy, risks, and expectations at every stage. She brings a practical, solutions‑oriented approach to each matter, helping clients navigate both the legal and operational challenges inherent in construction and real estate projects.
In her free time, Summer enjoys singing, travelling, and spending time with her husband, Dayne, and her Great Dane, Baron.
