Tia Gonzalez is a member of the Litigation Practice Group in the Firm’s Los Angeles office. She focuses her practice on fiduciary, receiver, and trustee representation, trust and estate disputes and general business litigation.

Ms. Gonzalez represents court-appointed receivers, trustees and other fiduciaries in high-stakes disputes across California. She handles all phases of litigation—from strategic pre-dispute counseling through trial and post-judgment enforcement.

Ms. Gonzalez has extensive experience in state and federal receiverships, including real estate, equity, health and safety, and post-judgment matters. She has represented receivers over cannabis businesses and is able to navigate the complex regulatory environment unique to the industry. Her practice includes compliance with state and local licensing regulations, navigating the sale of businesses, and overseeing insolvency issues.

In her trust and estate practice, Ms. Gonzalez represents trustees, estate administrators, and conservators. Ms. Gonzalez is dedicated to delivering practical, effective solutions tailored to each client’s unique objectives.

  • Successfully defended post-judgment Receiver against motion to surcharge.
  • Obtained a receivership in aid of dissolution over MedMen cannabis dispensary and over 76 related entities with nearly $1 billion in debt obligations.
  • Representation of Receiver rehabilitating multiple low-income properties throughout Los Angeles’s Skid Row.
  • Successfully represented property owner in landlord-tenant dispute against the United States Postal Service.
  • Represented a cannabis company in judicial dissolution action with more than $70,000,000 in assets and secured appointment of a receiver.
  • Represented a receiver in a judicial dissolution action of Gold Flora Corporation with retail and cultivation assets and successfully sold the assets at auction for more than $26 million.
