Office Snapshot: Buchalter Expands Presence In Chicago

“Just one year after Buchalter opened a branch in Chicago, its ambitions in the city have grown rapidly enough to warrant expanding into a new space.

Buchalter’s year-old Chicago office regularly welcomes attorneys from the firm’s other branches and has an atmosphere of collaboration, managing partner Thomas Jefson said. (Courtesy of Buchalter)In January 2025, the firm announced that it had opened its 14th U.S. office with 15 attorneys who had previously worked at Robbins DiMonte Ltd. The firm established itself in a 38-story building in downtown Chicago’s business district.

The Chicago team — now at nearly 40 attorneys and staff — now resides on a different floor of the same building. In March, the team moved into a newly built space of more than 13,000 square feet, reflecting the firm’s commitment to the Windy City and to continuing to invest in the Midwest.”
