
Catherine Warren is a Special Counsel in the Firm’s Denver office and a member of the Litigation practice group. Ms. Warren focuses her practice on government and administrative matters and commercial litigation. She has experience with state attorneys general investigation and litigation, including multistate enforcement actions. In addition, she assists clients in environmental litigation matters and provides counsel on regulatory issues related to the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, Toxic Substances Control Act, California’s Prop 65, emerging issues related to per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), as well as state and local level requirements.
Previously Ms. Warren worked with pharmaceutical, health care, and biotech startup companies on a range of legal issues. While in law school, Catherine served as a law clerk at the U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Division, Federal Tort Claims Act Section, and interned with Administrative Law Judge Antoinette Eates at the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

- Current counsel in a major multistate State AG investigation and coordinated litigation involving consumer protection and financial services.
- Represented authors and publishers in action against county school board alleging constitutional violations because of removing and restricting access to books in public schools
- Represented class action plaintiffs in lawsuit against county officials involving allegations related to debtor’s prison
- Represented a financial institution in a lawsuit involving claims under the Colorado Consumer Protection Act and claims for fraud, negligence, and civil conspiracy.
- Successfully defeated claims at summary judgment and currently representing on appeal.
- Represented storage company in breach of contract dispute over real estate purchase agreement involving hazardous chemicals.
- Represented CEO in separation dispute involving allegations of breach of contract, disparagement, defamation, and unfair competition.
- Represented investment entities and founders in contract dispute involving claims related to material breaches of partnership agreement.
- Represents chemical companies in lawsuit defending claims under the New Jersey Spill Act and Industrial Sites Recovery Act.
- Advises consumer products companies in the management of environmental risks associated with per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) across the United States.
