Shareholder Amanda Hyland and Attorneys Austin Vining and Cory Mull successfully defended Icebox, LLC, a renowned luxury jewelry and watch retailer, against a motion for preliminary injunction brought by the owner of the trademark SwissWatchExpo who sought to enjoin our client’s use of swisswatches.com. At oral arguments, Amanda Hyland persuaded the Court that the plaintiff’s mark could not be enforced against our client’s mark where the only overlapping similarities are the generic terms “Swiss” and “Watch.” The team was assisted by Valarie Lawrence, John Brinson, and Diamond Jordan.
