A trial team of Buchalter Nemer attorneys, Anne Marie Ellis, Paul Alarcon, and Lorry Abercrombie obtained a defense verdict in the Superior Court of Orange County for our client, The Walt Disney Company, after a 7 week jury trial. The trial involved an accident on Disneyland's Splash Mountain that resulted in an alleged brain injury and severe psychological injuries of a seventeen year old female. We defended Disney on the design and warnings of the Splash Mountain attraction and convinced the jury that the attraction was not defective in any respect.
The team focuses their practice on the defense of manufacturers and retailers in consumer class actions, product liability and commercial litigation, and regulatory matters particularly in the automobile, motorcycle, consumer goods, football sporting goods and fitness equipment, pharmaceutical, medical device, food and amusement park industries.
