Industrial Association of Contra Costa County Roundtable Webinar: AB 685

  • Dec 09th, 2020

  • 10:30 am - 11:30 am

John Epperson and Ron Arias lead the discussion regarding how AB 685 imposes significant new requirements on employers to notify employees, subcontractors and public officials of COVID-19 incidents in the workplace. These new requirements pose particularly thorny issues for manufacturing facilities, and we will be discussing how employers, and manufacturing facilities in particular, are preparing to meet them.  Time permitting, we will also delve into California’s SB 1159, which codifies Governor Newsom’s Executive Order N-62-20 and creates rebuttable presumptions that an employee’s illness related to the coronavirus is an occupational injury and therefore eligible for workers’ compensation benefits.
