Karl Israelsen is Of Counsel in Buchalter’s Salt Lake City and Los Angeles offices and a member of the firm’s Corporate practice group. Mr. Israelsen counsels clients on venture capital and angel financings, mergers and acquisitions, fund formation, private equity transactions, public offerings, SEC reporting, business formation and corporate governance. He advises entrepreneurs, companies and investors ranging from small startups and individual investors to national and multinational companies and large investment funds. He has also handled a number of cross-border and international transactions involving both foreign and domestic clients.
Mr. Israelsen serves on several boards of directors and boards of advisors. He is an adjunct professor of Economics and Finance at the Utah State University, Huntsman School of Business, and has taught courses on Law and Economics, Business Ethics, and Corporate Social Responsibility. He is also a 2010 and 2011 recipient of the vSpring v|100 award.

Mr. Israelsen earned his J.D from the University of Chicago Law School. He received his M.P.A, from the University of Texas, and his B.A. in Economics, with honors, from Utah State University.
