Masataka Wada is a Foreign Attorney Law Clerk (admitted to practice law in both Japan (inactive) and California) in the Firm’s Los Angeles office and a member of the Japan Practice group and the Corporate Practice group.  He focuses his practice on corporate law, joint ventures, entertainment, private equity funds, mergers and acquisitions, general corporate issues, and litigation.

Prior to joining the firm, as Japanese “Bengoshi,” he was mainly engaged in matters in the field of private equity funds and Japanese financial regulations for years at Nishimura & Asahi, one of the four biggest law firms in Tokyo.

He has a deep understanding of the unwritten norms and culture of Japanese business and extensive expertise in leading Japan-related cross-border transactions together with the clients’ executives/representatives, backed by his experience in working with Japanese companies at various stages – from giants in various industries to start-ups.
