Samantha Baker is an Attorney in the Firm’s Portland office and a member of the Litigation practice group. Prior to joining Buchalter, she worked at a Portland law firm where she focused on real estate litigation, employment litigation, and trusts and estates.

Samantha is dedicated to guiding individuals, families, and fiduciaries through trust and estate disputes with empathy and expertise. She is known for her attentive listening, practical advice, and steadfast advocacy—whether she is crafting a tailored estate plan or resolving complex estate disputes.

In law school, she received mentorship and practical experience through several diverse legal internships, including the Oregon Court of Appeals, Immigration Counseling Service, the National Center on Sexual Exploitation, and Willamette University’s Trusts and Estates Clinic.

She earned an M.S. in Nonprofit Management and B.S. in Music Industry, cum laude, both from Northeastern University.
