Sarah Vega is a member of the Health Care and Litigation practice groups in the Firm’s Orange County office. Ms. Vega focuses on provider based representation, specializing in complex litigation matters and government investigations. Ms. Vega represents a variety of healthcare clients including hospital systems, physician groups, ambulatory surgery centers, laboratories, residential treatment centers, and med spas.

Ms. Vega consistently represents individuals and healthcare providers in investigations by different federal and state government enforcement agencies related to allegations of fraud and violations of the False Claims Act, Anti-Kickback Statute, and the California Insurance Frauds Prevention Act. Similarly, Ms. Vega represents providers in large exposure reimbursement disputes and litigation with managed care companies and health insurers.

Ms. Vega also regularly advises clients on compliance related issues.

Ms. Vega has previous experience litigating in the Orange County area with experience in both state and federal courts handling cases from pre-litigation through trial. Ms. Vega’s trial motions have been upheld in the Ninth Circuit.

In law school, Ms. Vega served as a legal extern for the Federal Public Defender’s Office in the Eastern District of North Carolina, and as a law clerk in the Orange County District Attorney’s Office homicide unit. She was also a judicial intern for the Honorable Kimberly K. Menninger of the Orange County Superior Court.

In 2023 and 2024, Ms. Vega was recognized by Super Lawyers Magazine as a Southern California “Rising Star”.
