Buchalter Successfully Represented Financial Institution in Settlement with California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation Regarding Conduct of Unlicensed Financing Business

Buchalter recently represented a financial institution in the successful settlement with the California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation as to the conduct of unlicensed financing business in California.  Settlement was accomplished much faster than the client projected and for a small fraction of the contingent liability reserve the client had established.  The Buchalter team was led by Ben Heuer and Matt Kavanaugh.
