Andrew Stebbins is a Special Counsel in Buchalter’s Portland office and a member of the firm’s Litigation and White Collar & Investigations practice groups. He represents individuals and institutional clients in high-stakes, multimillion-dollar criminal and regulatory enforcement matters.
Before joining Buchalter, Andrew practiced at two of the country’s leading white collar litigation boutiques. His experience spans a wide range of cases, including matters brought by the Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and state attorneys general. He has also represented death-sentenced individuals in federal habeas corpus proceedings.
In the courtroom, Andrew has first-chaired cases through trial and, when necessary, he has passionately advocated for his clients at sentencing. He has also convinced appellate courts to overturn convictions, including a conviction carrying a 99-year sentence. Recognizing that many clients prefer to resolve their cases or controversies before they become matters of public record, Andrew has favorably settled matters through negotiation. He works closely and thoughtfully with clients to navigate sensitive matters with clear advice, candor, and a detail-oriented mindset.
