Berit Elam is a Senior Counsel in Buchalter’s Sacramento office. Ms. Elam represents clients in a wide variety of commercial and business litigation matters, including misappropriation of trade secrets, employee mobility disputes, unfair competition, and employee non-solicitation covenants and non-disclosure agreements.

Ms. Elam also has a significant background in construction litigation where she has represented general and sub-contractors in matters arising from public and private projects including civil, transportation, and commercial construction projects.

Ms. Elam’s practice includes political law, where she represents clients in reporting and regulatory matters around campaign finance and lobbying, as well as election law.

In addition to her civil litigation practice, Ms. Elam has considerable experience with white collar criminal defense, having represented many individuals facing government investigations and criminal allegations ranging from mail and wire fraud to perjury and bribery.
