Emily Malhiot is an Attorney in Buchalter’s Sacramento office and a member of the Litigation Practice Group.

Emily represents clients in a wide range of commercial and business litigation matters, including breaches of contract, fraud claims, and shareholder and partnership disputes. She also has extensive experience in real estate litigation matters, handling cases involving commercial leases, purchase and sale agreements, construction disputes, and landlord-tenant issues. Additionally, Emily represents clients in trust and estates litigation, including contested trust matters and estate administration.

Emily has significant experience in defamation and free-speech matters and has represented numerous clients in anti-SLAPP litigation. Her practice also includes appellate advocacy, having authored briefs in both state and federal appeals.

Prior to joining Buchalter, Emily was a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Morrison C. England, Jr. (Ret.) and the Honorable Dale A. Drozd for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California.
