Jennifer (Jeni) Garber Guerrero is an Associate General Counsel in the Firm’s Seattle office. Ms. Garber Guerrero started her legal career as a trial and appellate public defense attorney for parents and children involved in the child welfare system, and handled juvenile defense and family law matters as well. However, she has been practicing in the area of conflicts of interest and legal ethics for many years and has extensive experience to help resolve conflicts and client engagement matters, including drafting waivers for standard and complex conflicts waivers, drafting and reviewing standard and complex engagement letters, reviewing outside counsel guidelines (OCGs) for negotiation, and reviewing client-driven engagement terms.

Ms. Garber Guerrero has presented CLEs on the ethical considerations when drafting engagement letters and advanced waivers, prospective client conflicts, and former client conflicts. She also taught Professional Responsibility to law students at Seattle University School of Law. She is open to and always available to answer questions or talk through questions related to conflicts or other ethical issues in connection with client engagement.
