Oana L. Militaru is a Special Counsel in the Firm’s Chicago office and a member of the Tax, Benefits & Estate Planning practice group. Ms. Militaru’s practice focuses on assisting clients, including high net worth individuals and families, in preparing and implementing lifetime and testamentary estate plans to protect and transfer their assets in the most tax efficient way and in accordance with their unique and individual goals and wishes. Ms. Militaru’s practice also includes special needs planning and assisting personal representatives, executors, trustees and their successors to navigate the administration of decedents’ estates, as well as business formation and planning.
Ms. Militaru was a member of the committee tasked with drafting legislation to allow electronic wills in Illinois (enacted July 26, 2021 as the Electronic Wills and Remote Witnesses Act).
