Yaphett Powell is Special Counsel in the Firm’s Los Angeles office and a member of the Intellectual Property practice group. His practice focuses on sports, music, film, television, streaming, video games, media, and entertainment industries and transactions across the U.S. and international markets. Prior to establishing his intellectual property and entertainment law practice, he spent eight years as a corporate attorney focusing on capital markets, finance, and M&A transactions. His strengths include negotiating and closing complex and strategic deals, leading high-performing legal teams, and protecting legal rights and interests.
