Buchalter Welcomes New Shareholder in Scottsdale; Celebrates 20th Anniversary in Arizona

Buchalter is delighted to announce that Jeffrey Wolf has joined the firm’s Scottsdale office as a Shareholder and member of the Litigation and Franchise Law Practice groups.

“Jeff is a nationally recognized franchise attorney and talented business litigator, and we are thrilled to welcome him to the firm,” said Adam Bass, President and Chief Executive Officer of Buchalter. “His extensive background in both franchise law and dispute resolution is a tremendous asset to our clients, our growing Scottsdale office, and the Firm.”

Wolf is a commercial and franchise litigator with over 35 years of experience representing clients in a variety of business sectors, including hospitality, restaurant, fitness, and health and wellness. He has successfully handled arbitrations, bench trials, and jury trials in both state and federal courts throughout the United States. Wolf also serves as outside general counsel to numerous clients.

“Buchalter has an outstanding reputation, and I am excited to join the firm’s Scottsdale Office,” said Wolf. “I look forward to collaborating with my new colleagues, continuing to provide high-quality legal counsel to clients navigating complex franchise, unfair competition, real estate, employment and general commercial disputes while also having the ability to offer them the firm’s numerous well-known legal capabilities.”

Wolf joins at a very commemorative time for the Firm. Buchalter’s Scottsdale office is celebrating its 20th anniversary in business. Attorneys from Brody, Levinson & Weiser joined the firm in 2005 establishing the firm’s presence in Arizona. The office has since expanded to 60 diverse attorneys and professional staff, highlighting its strategic growth and significant impact throughout the Southwest. Buchalter will celebrate the milestone achievement next month with a reception for clients, lawyers, and supporting friends. Overseeing the office’s recent expansion and success has been Craig Cartwright, Managing Shareholder of the Scottsdale office. “As we gratefully celebrate 20 years in Scottsdale, we are extremely proud of the top-tier counsel and the exceptional legal services that we consistently provide to our clients,” said Cartwright. “Jeff brings a wealth of experience that aligns perfectly with our office strategy, and we look forward to his contributions.”

Earlier this year, the Scottsdale office continued to expand its capabilities with the addition of two new attorneys. Matthew Levine joined as a Shareholder and member of the Real Estate Practice group. Levine focuses his practice on complex commercial real estate transactions. His clients range from local businesses to publicly traded companies, including restaurants, healthcare providers, construction companies, and commercial and residential developers. Jonathan Talcott also joined earlier this year as an Intellectual Property Shareholder. Recognized by the IAM Patent on the 2025 Patent 1000 list, Talcott is an accomplished counselor, litigator, and trial attorney specializing in high-stakes litigation across patents, trademarks, trade secrets, copyrights, internet domain names, and other technology-related disputes.

“We genuinely appreciate the strong foundations and longstanding relationships we have built in Scottsdale,” added Bass. “We are confident we will continue to grow alongside Scottsdale’s thriving business community.”
