Buchalter Welcomes Real Estate Shareholder in Seattle

Buchalter is pleased to announce that Jemima J. McCullum has joined the firm as a Real Estate Shareholder in its Seattle office. McCullum provides extensive experience in all types of real estate matters to property owners, developers, builders, landlords, tenants, lenders and businesses throughout the Puget Sound region.

“Jemima’s experience in complex transactional matters bolsters our national Real Estate group and enhances our ability to serve our clients firm-wide,” said Adam Bass, President and Chief Executive Officer of Buchalter. “She is a terrific fit for Buchalter as we continue to grow in the Northwest and nationally.”

McCullum’s practice spans the full breadth of commercial real estate, with a focus on commercial leasing, acquisition and disposition of real property, development, and commercial financing. She handles large, complex leasing transactions, as well as specialized issues in office, retail, medical, manufacturing, apartment housing and mixed-use projects. McCullum also regularly advises clients on deal structuring, tax considerations, financing, and many other aspects of real estate assets.

“Buchalter’s entrepreneurial culture and national platform make this a natural choice for me,” said McCullum. “I look forward to contributing to the Firm’s highly regarded real estate practice and working alongside a team of top-tier lawyers.”

In addition to commercial lease and purchase and sale transactions, McCullum has extensive experience in all phases of the development of real estate. She represents developers, landowners, and investors in the development, financing, construction, buildout and lease-up or resale of various projects.

McCullum also provides sophisticated and deep bench experience to her clients regarding finance matters on behalf of borrowers in senior loans, mezzanine bridge loans, construction loans, institutional warehoused loans, secondary market loans, junior loans, lines of credit, leasehold financing, taxable and tax-exempt bond financing, and private loans, all collateralized by real estate.

Bradley Hoff, the Office Managing Shareholder in Seattle, added, “Jemima’s extensive real estate experience is a major benefit to our office and firm-wide. We’re thrilled to have her on the team.”
