Buchalter is pleased to announce that Nora Sheriff, a shareholder in our Energy & Natural Resources Practice Group, has been selected to serve as a Director on the Board of the Conference of California Public Utility Counsel (CCPUC) for a three-year term beginning January 2019. The CCPUC is a specialty bar association with over three hundred members of attorneys and regulatory personnel who practice in the areas of energy, telecommunications, transportation, and water regulation before the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC). The CCPUC is dedicated to providing education and training on current issues pertaining to utility regulation at both the state and federal levels and it is a certified MCLE provider. The CCPUC Board has nine members from the utility legal departments, law firms, the CPUC, and consumer groups, and the Board selection process is competitive. Buchalter is proud to have Nora selected to be a CCPUC Director and serve on the CCPUC Board.
