October 22, 2019 - Vintage Wine Estates announced the addition of Owen Roe, a fine wine producer in the Pacific Northwest that achieved cult status and received numerous awards and accolades, to its fine wine portfolio. Owen Roe has locations in Yakima, Washington (winery, vineyards and tasting room) and Willamette Valley, Oregon (tasting room) to its wine portfolio. The winery produces a range of white wines, Oregon Pinot Noir and Washington red wines under the marques Owen Roe and Sharecropper’s.
Buchalter represented Bank of the West as the administrative agent for a group of syndicated lenders in providing financing to Vintage Wine Estates to be used for amount other things, the acquisition of Owen Roe. The purchase includes brand, inventory, winery, estate vineyard and tasting rooms. Commercial Finance Shareholder, William Schoenholz, Real Estate Shareholder, Joseph Vargas, and Commercial Finance Senior Counsel Reed Mercado led the Buchalter team.
