Buchalter Shareholder Anne Marie Ellis served as local counsel in securing a complete defense verdict in Yolo County Superior Court on behalf of a company providing consulting services related to urban forestry. The case involved the alleged wrongful death of a woman who was fatally injured after being struck by a large tree limb. Following a 17-day trial, the jury returned a full defense verdict in favor of our client, while the co-defendant was found liable for more than $24 million in damages.
