Mark Tubis is a member of Buchalter’s Health Care Practice Group in the Orange County office. Mr. Tubis represents health care providers and entities in their business transactions while advising on regulatory issues related to physician self-referral, anti-kickback law, the corporate practice of medicine doctrine, other federal and state fraud and abuse laws, and privacy and security laws.
Mr. Tubis represents health care providers and businesses whose operations range from local to national. These include physician groups, sole practitioners, management services organizations, hospitals, telehealth companies, surgery centers, home health agencies, nonprofit organizations, dentists, med spas, clinics, and ancillary health care service providers.
Mr. Tubis assists with all aspects of healthcare transactions, including acquisitions, mergers, joint ventures, management services agreements, corporate governance, licensing, reorganizations, physician and professional staff recruitment, financing, and other business transactions.
Prior to his legal career, Mr. Tubis worked in change management in Toronto, Canada, helping guide the adoption and use of regulated systems for healthcare treatment plan approvals and health service invoices for tens of thousands of healthcare providers.

Mr. Tubis earned his J.D. with a Business Law specialization from the University of California Los Angeles, School of Law. He earned his B.A. with Honors in Psychology from York University.
