Stephanie Wilkins is Special Counsel in the Firm’s Salt Lake City office and a member of the Intellectual Property practice group with an emphasis in data privacy, security and AI governance. Ms. Wilkins is a seasoned and pragmatic legal practitioner who has spent many years in-house directing corporate legal departments and global privacy departments for US public and private companies. She has represented and negotiated with technology companies globally, focusing on issues ranging from regulatory compliance to IP licensing, privacy to litigation and regulatory response, immigration, and general corporate counseling – she recognizes that understanding and working closely with the “business” is often an underestimated part of any successful legal equation. She approaches legal challenges through the lens of risk mitigation and prevention. Stephanie works with companies to help build compliant privacy programs. Specifically she assists with policies (privacy, records retention and destruction, corporate legal processes), notices, playbooks, templates, assessments, crisis response (cyber, privacy, litigation) and managing risks inherent to personal data.
