Avila Beach, CA – July 26, 2017 –The International Factoring Association (IFA) has named Robert Zadek, Esq. of Buchalter as Co-General Counsel to the organization. Mr. Zadek will join existing Co-General Counsel Steven N. Kurtz, Esq. partner of Levinson Arshonsky & Kurtz, LLP, and Michael Ullman, Esq. principal of Ullman & Ullman, P.A. Both have generously served in this role since the association’s inception in 1999, serving members and helping it grow from startup to a thriving organization.

For over twenty years, Mr. Zadek has been a keynote speaker at the IFA’s Annual Convention. In addition, the IFA offers Mr. Zadek’s two-day course, “The Law and Business of Factoring,” attended by seasoned factoring executives, newcomers to the industry and their counsel.
Robert Zadek focuses his practice on matters involving factoring, asset-based lending, purchase order financing, commercial loan documentation, trade finance and letters of credit, loan workouts, and bankruptcy. Mr. Zadek is a past Chair of the Commercial Financial Services Committee of the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association. He served on the Executive Committee of the Business Law Section of the State Bar of California and chaired its Uniform Commercial Code Committee. Mr. Zadek has served as an attorney advisor on the American Law Institute Committee to Revise the Restatement of the Law of Suretyship, and was an advisor to the Drafting Committee on revision of Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code.
The IFA’s goal is to assist banks and finance companies engaged in factoring and receivable financing by providing information, training and purchasing power, and by serving as a resource for the factoring community.
