California Receivers Forum Presents “Loyola VII Symposium – Shedding Light on the Future”
Panel Topic: “Roundtable Discussion re Sale of Receiver Assets”
A Note from the Education Co-Chairs (receivers.org):
We’re back with some highly sought after programs that are not only educational, with some important nuts and bolts practice tips, but also cover the significant growth in emerging areas. We’ll be devoting an afternoon to an extensive review and discussion on the newly passed Uniform Commercial Real Estate Receivership Act, drafted by the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws, how it’s being implemented in other states and what it means for California. We’ll be diving into the protections necessary to shield receivers from liability in filing tax returns and the most recent changes in the law affecting receivers in the tax areas.
We’ll also be looking at those age old problems of vexatious litigants in receiverships actions, and innovative ways of using and benefitting from post judgment receivers. And of course we’ll focus on the never ending issues raised by our panelists on family law receiverships, hospitality receiverships and health and safety receiverships.
We’re excited to share all of this with you and look forward to seeing you in March.
